The Sitka Tribe of Alaska purchased a large waterfront building for conversion to their new central offices.  The building is being substantially upgraded to a like-new office environment with heat recovery ventilation, new exterior insulated panels, and operable triple-glaze windows throughout.  Design steps include the incorporation of cultural elements, including a new entry modeled on traditional clan house forms, and emphasizing yellow cedar structural framing.
